His specialisms include education in emergencies, nutrition, grant management, and monitoring and evaluation, built through roles with national and international organisations. He holds an Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices from the Geneva Graduate Institute and a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Kenyatta University.

His work spans research, programme design and programme management, and he has led the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder programmes in fragile and challenging operating environments.

He is responsible for operational strategy and quality assurance, making sure every engagement is delivered on time, to standard and with lasting value for clients and the communities they serve. He holds an MSc in Public Health from the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) in partnership with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), and a BSc in Environmental Health (Public Health) from Kenyatta University.

His experience spans programme development and management, research, monitoring and evaluation, and migration management. He has worked with the United Nations, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Dalworth Statistical and Research Training Center. He has also provided consultancy services to the Co-operative University of Kenya, Masinde Muliro University, Volkslift EA, Envic Research and Consulting, TIFA Research, USAID Kenya, the National Social Security Fund and Associate Consulting Africa.

He has strong leadership and team-management skills, including mentoring project and research teams, strengthening performance management systems and improving organisational processes. He holds a Master of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, both from the University of Nairobi.

From December 2024 to June 2025, he served as a Consultant with GIZ, supporting multi-stakeholder partnerships for biodiversity-based value chains in Marsabit County. His work included facilitating consultations with government, private-sector and community actors, analysing the value chain for local gums and resins, and organising stakeholder workshops in line with GIZ safeguards and Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS) principles.

At Marsabit Botanical Garden, he leads community-led restoration of dryland ecosystems, the conservation and propagation of native and endangered plants, and partnerships around nature-based enterprises. These include Aloe, Moringa, honey, gums and resins, and medicinal and aromatic plants, helping communities move from selling raw resources to value addition and market access. Earlier, as Director of the Indigenous Community Support Program, he led work on traditional knowledge, climate resilience, peacebuilding and capacity building on the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Nagoya Protocol.

He has taken part in the Pan-African ABS and Biotrade Workshop in Senegal and the African Biotrade Festival in Johannesburg. He holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) from Mount Kenya University and is pursuing a Master's degree in Anthropology.

She has led large-scale natural resource programmes in gums and resins, dryland biodiversity management, wildlife-adjacent community systems and climate-smart land use. She facilitated operations for 3,950 harvesters across Marsabit, Isiolo and Samburu, standardised sustainable harvesting practices that reduced overtapping by 50%, and strengthened governance and donor compliance for cooperatives and CBOs.

Under the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) Program in Laikipia, she led county-level research and strategy development, and her recommendations were formally adopted into the county's climate strategy. She has delivered governance and climate-finance capacity building for 14 institutions and developed technical guidance on climate-smart agriculture and carbon credit pathways.

In gender and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), she managed operations for a youth SRHR facility serving more than 4,000 adolescents a year, led safe-space improvements that increased utilisation by 90%, and aligned county SRHR delivery with regional frameworks including the Maputo Protocol. She works with cultural leaders, faith networks and youth groups to advance gender equality, safeguarding and inclusive services, bringing a strong Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) lens to all her work.
